Cèilidh Trails have been running all over the country for over a decade now and this is the first project of its kind in the Stirling area. The Cèilidh Trail gives young people the opportunity to perform in public, enhancing their performance skills through a sustained period where they are treated as professional musicians. Local communities, businesses and visitors also benefit and get to enjoy great live traditional music from young people in the community.

Check out www.feisean.org/ceilidh/ff.php for a full list of dates as well as more info on other Ceilidh Trails and the ethos behind them.

You can apply on-line.

In 2016 we had a fantastic group of musicians:

If you are interested in taking part next year applications will open in January.

The Fèis Fhoirt Ceilidh Trail is a paid summer job and a professional development opportunity for young people aged 16 – 25 who are considering a performance career in traditional Scottish music. It is also a cultural tourism project bringing high quality traditional music performances to communities across Scotland throughout the peak tourist period in July and August. This is the fifth Fèis Fhoirt Cèilidh Trail, and there are now over 10 similar projects throughout Scotland this summer. You can find out more at the Fèisean nan Gàidheal Ceilidh Trail website.

Check out a short video of the 2015 Cèilidh Trail to give you an idea of what is in store for these 6 youngsters over the summer!
